Odds and Ends

Barry and I enjoyed a lovely ride in the convertible on Sunday up to Graeagle via highway 49 then back to the Willo for dinner - I had ribs; he had grilled swordfish.
He's busy mowing the back 40 again - for the second time this year! Half yesterday and the other half today before going to his sister's in Oakland for a get-together in the afternoon.
I'm going to try to plant some cosmos in the front flowerbed - we have lots of California poppies there right now, so it won't look quite as sparse as last year (but here's a picture from last year anyway).
Huge kudos to Gramcie for stepping in and stepping up and opening her home temporarily for instant insanity.
Rich, keep up the btww - wow! (but PLEASE be super safe!)
And sorry, Jeff and Shellie, that we couldn't make it up to Richardson Grove this weekend. We might be up there in early August for the M family reunion - if we're back from our trip/Barry's work.

We moved out of the townhouse in San Rafael on Friday -- made it across highway 37 to Vallejo with 23 minutes to spare , (it was closing at 9 pm for repairs!).

Juice in the Pine Tree

A certain unnamed grandson was at my house and when I asked him if he was thirsty he replied,

"Yes, and there's juice in the pine tree."

"Juice in the pine tree?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied, pointing to the pantry!

Know anybody who wants a horse?

We've got a couple of horses for sale from the Mingst family trust. You can see the expensive one out at http://www.glynnsong.com/Clu.html and if you know someone who is interested, Barry is ready to sell! Twilight, the other horse, is very energetic and active and not suitable for a beginner. Conclusive is just great all around.
