Yes, it's ON THE MARKET

Barry's folks' house and yard are cleaned up (over 4 tons to recycling, yard waste, and the dump) and on the market as of Thursday morning at 12:01am. As of Friday we had an offer for full asking price ($650,000) with 30% down! On Sunday the realtor will host an Open House. There has been incredible interest and many, many agents and their clients have been through the house and looking around the property (.91 acre). One man told Barry that it was obvious that the yard had been well-loved for many years. (We just gave it extra lovin' since August 6th, when we came back to the USA!)

Nessie, Peter Pan, and Captain Hook's Crocodile

Barry and I drove all over Scotland. One day, since we were driving right along Loch Ness, we took a quick detour to the parking lot where I recalled seeing Nessie back in 1997 when Mom, Jen, and I were there.

Unbelievably, Nessie was again in the parking lot! It was nice and quiet there - after tourist hours - so we got a quick picture then wandered around some just to stretch our legs before heading on toward Inverness.

We also went to the birthplace of JM Barrie, author of Peter Pan among other works. Behind the house was a little garden with this statue of Peter...we dashed out during a break in the pouring rain to get a few pictures. The rain picked up before we had a chance to try going into the mouth of the crocodile!

River Cats, May, 2009

A friend gave us four tickets (last May) to see the River Cats so off we went: Grandpa, Grammy, Jen, and the boys! It was so much fun to be so close to the action because of the stadium being so much smaller! I even managed to get a player to throw a game ball to me, which I then gave to Terry. We've got to do this again!!!
