We visit Loren in Austin and get some snow!

We had the great pleasure to spend Saturday and Sunday with Loren in Austin -- and now I'm hoping that a longer trip will bring us together again in the future! We were invited to join him in New Orleans, but the napa house stuff is still too compelling, so we had to pass THIS TIME...

Anyway, it was just a great time and it went by far too quickly! It was neat to spend time with some of Loren's fan club (aka Jay and Roberta and Bubba) - they had some stories to tell about him!

We also found some old mines as well as a new set up for the hot springs out over the hill on the east side of town - there are large round watering troughs with pipes bringing the hot water. We found one and hopped in and relaxed ever so nicely - and it even had some old carpeting to stand on when you get out. Something funny happened there that i won't publish here, you will have to ask Barry!
