The result of the house being lifted 4 inches as beams were re-set and/or strengthened/moved. (At least all of the doors still work!) PS (Added after I created the link on Monday, Nov. 17) This article is SO interesting -- especially the part that suggests no more than 1/8 of an inch per day when raising a house. We let the contractor do four inches in one day.
