Tuesdays at Novato Thrift Shops! Woo hoo!

This is NOT anything that I found today, but I like it and it is some of Jim Shore's work!

I headed up to Novato (10 min from San Rafael) today to visit two of my favorite thrift shops: The Marin Hospice Gift and Thrift
and the Goodwill. I scored big time at the Hospice with not one but two Jim Shore gifts for Mom. I also found an intriguing set of minature Chinese teapots which appear to be made of onyx (I will be researching those).

On my way over to the Goodwill I saw a sign pointing down a small side street to a thrift shop and discovered Angel's Attic at an Espicopal church. I couldn't wait to get inside and see why I had come by...and the answer was a very nice framed picture that I could use in the San Rafael place (for a very reasonable price -- it would have been four times more at the Salvation Army). I also found a watercolor poster of Alcatraz for the San Rafael place.

From there I popped over to the Goodwill. My exciting purchases there included a new clothes hamper for Barry (we buy them regularly for the cat to claw to pieces, and it's time for a replacement), saw horse brackets, and a better dustpan for the Nevada City garage. Wow, I really know how to have fun!
Can't wait for Turkey day and some fun card games! Adios!
