Raking leaves today in the glorious sunshine -- hurray! (Note: I typed this quickly after raking for 1 1/2 hours out front in Nevada City -- clearing the driveway area for one yard of rocks, which equals 2,500 pounds -- and cleaning off the lawn so it doesn't feel smothered.)
Added later:
THEN we went to Gay's and I got to rake for another hour -- and it was still fun and I can still say, "Hurray!"
Rich and Barry got Greg's car running, then we went back down to the cabin and Rich helped Gay with a window project and Barry scrubbed the cabin to prep it for staining (Rich had already done a great deal of scrubbing). Greg hopped up onto the roof and swept off the leaves and branches, as well as lopping a few lovely branches that were over the cabin. At some point Janet began doing homework and Greg began playing the World of Goo.
